February 2026 Apiary Update

When you see honey for sale and it says something like Saw Palmetto, Orange Blossom, or Clover, what that means it is 51% of the nectar that comprise the honey is from that one particular plant. When you see honey named Wildflower that means that there is not one single plant making up 51% of it. Remember, bees fly up to 5 miles in every direction, so it's difficult to know exactly what they are gettin into and bringing back to the hive. There are infinite variations in what can make up a Wildflower honey, dependent on time of year, location, amount of rainfall, and myriad other factors. We wanted to find out exactly what our fall harvest honey consisted of, so we had its DNA tested (who knew that was a thing?!). We've attached its DNA make up and if you click below you can see the full report. This honey went to our friends, family, and co-workers, and sold out quickly.
