December Apiary Update
Share
From time to time our friend will ask for some help with her hives. She has 3 and was concerned that she had a laying worker (a bee that has developed overies and is laying eggs that are not fertilized and therefore will only produce drones because the hive was queenless for so long). We went to her house and while we were there we also checked her other 2 hives with her. This is Melody - if you follow our Facebook and Instagram pages I posed a picture of one of her beautiful English Mastiffs a couple of months ago. As we get into the winter months there are fewer chores for us to do in the apiary, and it allows us the time to help out a friend!
